Job Title: Presales Engineer - Mendix/App-Modernization

Experience: 5+ years

The Presales Engineer (Mendix & App Modernization) supports the Digital Solutions team by bridging technical expertise and business development. The role leads solution design, technical proposals, and proof-of-concept delivery to drive customer acquisition and opportunity conversion across the GCC region (excluding UAE).

Roles & Responsibilities

Solution Design & Pre-Sales Support

• Work with the sales team to understand customer challenges and requirements.
• Translate business needs into high-level solution architectures and technology approaches.
• Support customer discovery sessions, workshops, and technical discussions.

Technical Proposals & Opportunity Support

• Prepare and contribute to technical proposals, statements of work (SOW), and solution documentation.
• Define scope, initial plan, assumptions, dependencies, and delivery considerations.
• Support RFP/RFI responses and opportunity qualification.

Demonstrations & Proof of Concept

• Assist in building solution demos and proof-of-concept applications to showcase proposed capabilities.
• Prepare demo scenarios aligned with customer use cases and business value.

Architecture & Technical Documentation

• Create architecture diagrams, workflows, and technical solution overviews.
• Collaborate with solution architects and engineering teams to validate design feasibility.

Internal Collaboration

• Work closely with delivery teams to support effort estimation, resource planning, and implementation considerations.
• Maintain reusable solution templates, demo environments, and proposal materials.

Requirements

Qualification and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Mendix certification (Rapid Developer or Advanced Developer) is strongly preferred.
• Certifications in enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, or application modernization frameworks are an advantage.

Minimum Experience/Skills Required:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a presales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role.
• Hands-on experience with Mendix low-code platform — development, configuration, and demo delivery.
• Strong understanding of application modernization concepts, digital transformation, and enterprise architecture.
• Proven ability to create technical proposals, SOW documents, and architecture documentation.
• Experience supporting RFP/RFI responses and managing opportunity qualification processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to engage both technical and business audiences.
• Ability to build and deliver compelling demos and proof-of-concept applications under time pressure.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and integration technologies is an advantage.
• Prior exposure to GCC market dynamics and enterprise clients is preferred.
