Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted math support to students in small groups
- Work in both push-in (within the classroom) and pull-out (outside the classroom) models, depending on student needs
- Collaborate closely with classroom math teachers in grades 58 to align instruction and support student progress
- Design and adapt lessons to meet individual student needs and learning styles
- Monitor student progress through assessments and ongoing data collection
- Administer informal and formal assessments as needed
- Communicate clearly and consistently with parents regarding student progress and goals
- Foster a positive, supportive, and upbeat learning environment that encourages growth and confidence
- Motivate and engage students who may find math challenging
- Bachelor's degree required (Education, Mathematics, or related field preferred)
- Experience working with middle school students, particularly those needing additional academic support
- Thorough understanding of the math curriculum in grades 58
- Ability to differentiate instruction and tailor lessons to individual learners
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Organized, flexible, and responsive to student needs
- Passion for math and a genuine interest in helping students succeed
- Experience in both classroom support (push-in) and small-group or individualized instruction (pull-out)
- Comfort with progress monitoring and using data to inform instruction
- Positive, energetic, and team-oriented mindset
- Desire to work in a progressive, collaborative, and high-energy school environment
