- Manage day-to-day parts operations including ordering, inventory control, and over-the-counter sales.
- Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate parts department staff.
- Ensure timely and accurate parts support for service repairs and customer inquiries.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess stock.
- Build and manage vendor relationships; negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
- Handle parts returns, warranty claims, and track inbound/outbound shipments.
- Maintain precise documentation for parts transactions and inventory records.
- Coordinate with the service department to forecast and fulfill parts needs.
- Track department KPIs and implement strategies to achieve monthly targets.
- Ensure safety and compliance with company policies and OSHA guidelines.
- 3–5 years of experience in parts management (trailer, automotive, or heavy equipment preferred).
- Proven success in inventory control, vendor negotiations, and team leadership.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using inventory software and Microsoft Office programs.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 70 lbs.
- Frequent walking, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting.
- Use of hands, arms, and visual focus for handling parts and tools.
- Work is primarily performed in a warehouse/shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and equipment.
- Occasional office tasks using standard office equipment.
- Forklift certification and safety training provided upon hire.
