We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Vet Account Manager to join our team to help us strengthen our relationships and in the Gold Coast & surrounds, and Northern NSW.


Changing Behaviours To Create Change

As a Trupanion Vet Hospital Account Manager, you will serve as a pivotal link between Trupanion and veterinary hospitals.


No day will ever be the same.


Every day you'll be out there (Mon - Fri), working directly with vet teams, not stuck behind a desk in an office.


Your job will be to visit vet clinics across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW, growing relationships with established partners and introducing yourself to new ones, bringing them on board to grow the number of insured pets in every clinic under your care.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Be out there, every day, Monday - Friday, on the road (no interstate or overnight regional travel required as part of the day-to-day role). You'll plan ahead to map out where you are going and make appointments with the decision makers in each clinic. This job is 1 part admin - 4 parts action! We want you in as many vet clinics as possible, every day.
  • Work with the business leaders to ensure that everyone in the clinic understands that more insured pets are better for them and the animals they care for.
  • Change behaviours so that everyone in the clinic is happy to discuss pet insurance with their customers.
  • Give presentations and training sessions to educate clinic staff on Trupanion’s offering. Support them on the journey to making discussions around pet insurance a habit so they can increase the number of insured pets.
  • Structure your days to make sure you are spending enough time with your clients and that you are adding value every time you see them.
  • This is not a sales job - there's no product to sell! You're changing behaviours and that's all about building relationships, education and support.
  • Get under your clients skin! Gather and report feedback from clinics to help shape Trupanion’s strategies and services.
  • Attend industry events and community activities to represent Trupanion and increase brand awareness.


Skill, Attributes and Experience:

  • You're a self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive for a growth-minded organisation.
  • You're a planner. You think 3 - 4 weeks ahead filling your diary with appointments with your clients. You plan ahead for your meetings, making sure you've got the tools, data, clinic insights, client insights, reports and in -clinic merchandise you need for brilliant meetings.
  • You follow up. You have a customer centric approach and follow up meetings with any requests made from your clients. You answer promptly to ad hoc questions / requests and have an ability to get things done.
  • You hate the Monday - Friday corporate grind in an office. You're a high energy person who wants to get out from behind your desk and hit the road every day visiting your clients. A generous car allowance means you can.
  • You have B2B experience working directly with customers in an account management or sales role, with an aptitude for building and maintaining relationships.
  • You're a people person, a chameleon - ready to adapt and win people over. From the revenue focused clinic owner, through to the animal loving vet nurse and the practical practice manager.
  • You're an animal lover. You're the kind of person who greets the dog before the human and is happiest when the cat chooses your lap to sit on.
  • Advantage you, if your experience includes work in the veterinary/animal health industry and experience working with HubSpot.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive with preferred exposure to HubSpot & SharePoint.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region.
  • You're willing to spend your first week away from home in beautiful Port Macquarie, undergoing a week of training to get you up and running.
