Role Overview
Our client, a leading financial services organization, is looking for a Associate Product Manager to drive the development and optimization of digital insurance journeys across retail and group insurance products. This role will focus on building seamless customer experiences, improving digital conversion funnels, and launching innovative insurance products while working closely with technology, compliance, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the end-to-end digital insurance journey (retail and group) – from onboarding, proposal submission, underwriting, issuance, to claims and renewals.
- Prepare detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and coordinate with core Insurance Systems (Policy Administration, Claims Management, CRM, etc.) for execution.
- Design, build, and iterate insurance products and schemes (Health, Life, Motor, and Group covers) in line with regulatory guidelines and business strategy.
- Conduct API testing and integration mapping (e.g., policy issuance APIs, claim intimation APIs) to ensure seamless partner and customer journeys.
- Work closely with compliance teams and business teams to align product features with risk frameworks, pricing strategies, and IRDAI regulations.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for retail and group insurance offerings, ensuring customer-centric positioning.
- Collaborate to ensure coherence between branch based journeys and digital journeys
- Continuously monitor funnel performance (lead > quote > proposal > issuance > renewal > claims) and resolve drop-offs or process bottlenecks.
- Define and track key product metrics and OKRs, using data insights to optimize journeys and improve conversion, persistency, and claims experience.
- Coordinate with tech and design teams to deliver simple, intuitive digital journeys across mobile app, web, and assisted channels. Participate in PRD/ Scrum walkthroughs and driving sprint planning discussions with concerned stakeholders
- Identify process gaps and implement automation initiatives (e.g., eKYC, digital signatures, paperless claims) to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround time.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or Business administration
- Experience of at least 1-3 years in Fintech /Financial services with Insurance background. (At least

- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, familiarity with project tracking tools (Jira, Trello, Asana)
- Hands-on with API testing (Postman, Swagger etc)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
