Purchasing Support Specialist

Role & Responsibilities:
Provide support to the Purchasing Team in the following ways:
- Process and follow up on rush orders and drop-shipments
- Collaborate with other team members on expedite and past-due order follow-up
- Input delivery communication from Suppliers into ERP system
- Process order acknowledgements and follow-up on unacknowledged purchase orders
- Execute expense (office supplies, etc.) purchases based on approval policies
- Supplier outreach based on various reports to ensure best possible service to our customers
- Assist in ensuring integrity of PO, Supplier and sourcing information in ERP system
- Purchasing special project support
- Any other tasks as assigned by Purchasing Supervisor or Director of Procurement
· Some college course work is preferred.
· Experience working in an office setting required.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills and good problem-solving skills are required.
· Solid Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge required.
Reports To: Purchasing Supervisor
Job Types: Full-time
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
- Associate (Preferred)
- Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
