The Opportunity
The Business Development Representative will sit at the heart of new business growth. This role is focused on engaging potential customers, starting meaningful conversations, qualifying early-stage opportunities, and supplying high-quality leads to the wider sales team.
You’ll be working in a performance‑driven but encouraging sales environment, with clear targets, ongoing coaching, and strong progression pathways.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new sales opportunities for the business
- Reach out to target accounts using phone, email, and multi‑channel outreach
- Act as the initial point of contact and brand representative for prospective customers
- Consistently achieve and surpass weekly activity targets and performance metrics
- Understand prospect challenges and capture high-level commercial insights
- Collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales teams to develop a strong pipeline
- Has twelve to eighteen months of experience in a commercially focused role
- Has demonstrated success against sales targets or performance KPIs
- Is comfortable speaking with senior decision‑makers as well as operational contacts
- Can identify business needs and effectively articulate clear value propositions
- Is well organised, detail orientated, and manages their workload effectively
- Brings energy, ambition, and a results‑focused mindset to their work
- Is degree educated or can demonstrate equivalent commercial experience
