Regional Sales Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales presence across Washington and Idaho. This role will focus on driving revenue and market share for our chemical and water treatment product lines by developing business, managing key accounts, and collaborating with internal technical teams to deliver tailored solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong sales instincts, industry knowledge (chemicals and water treatment), and proven account management skills to meet and exceed regional targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the PNW territory to achieve revenue and growth targets for chemical and water treatment products.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and responsive follow-up.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing key accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
- Work closely with technical, operations, and product teams to design and present solution proposals tailored to customer needs.
- Prepare and deliver regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance updates to senior management.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms while ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings across PNW to promote products and strengthen market presence.
- Mentor and collaborate with regional sales support and inside sales teams to ensure consistent customer service and successful order execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting chemicals and water treatment to inform sales strategy and product positioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with demonstrated success in territory or regional sales management preferably within chemicals, water treatment, or industrial process markets.
- Proven track record in business development, account management, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to translate product and process knowledge into customer value propositions.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with experience interacting at executive levels.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and experience producing accurate sales forecasts and reports.
- Ability to travel frequently throughout California; valid drivers license required.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
- Preferred: technical certifications, experience with water treatment system design or chemical dosing systems, and bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
