Technical Product Manager

Robert Half Technology is supporting a client seeking a Technical Product Owner — AI to own the lifecycle, performance, and measurable success of AI-driven products. This is a hands-on, technical product role for someone who can take AI products from concept to production while partnering closely with engineering, data, operations, compliance, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has experience managing production AI/ML products, building performance frameworks, writing and testing prompts, analyzing data, and driving measurable business outcomes across conversion, containment, resolution, and customer experience metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of AI products, including voice AI agents, SMS AI agents, agent-assist tools, and related data/observability platforms.
• Define, track, and report on KPIs such as containment rate, goal completion, AI resolution rate, conversion, drop-off, and revenue attribution.
• Conduct weekly performance reviews of live AI products, identify regressions, perform root-cause analysis, and drive improvements to completion.
• Build QA sampling frameworks and conversation review processes to improve prompts, workflows, and product outcomes.
• Lead new AI use cases from concept to production, including PRDs, success metrics, MVP scope, launch plans, and post-launch measurement.
• Run structured AI POCs with clear hypotheses, evaluation rubrics, and go/no-go criteria.
• Own vendor evaluations, including requirements, scoring, reference checks, contract input, onboarding, and governance processes.
• Write, version, test, and tune prompts for voice, SMS, and assistive AI tools.
• Build prompt evaluation sets from real conversations and score results against structured rubrics.
• Translate compliance, escalation, brand voice, and operational requirements into effective AI guardrails and workflows.
• Write SQL against Databricks, Salesforce, Encompass, and conversation/call log sources to investigate performance and support dashboards.
• Partner with data engineering on schemas, pipelines, event tracking, and reporting needed to measure AI performance.
• Review API documentation, understand integrations, and work with engineers on call flows, webhooks, and system design.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Engineering, and Data teams to align AI product delivery with business goals.
• Support AI governance reviews and ensure products align with NIST AI RMF and applicable AI regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical product management, product ownership, or applied AI/ML product roles.
• Direct ownership of production AI or ML product performance metrics.
• Proven 0-to-1 product experience, including launching a product from concept to live users.
• Hands-on prompt engineering experience with LLM-based products such as chat, voice, SMS, or agent-assist tools.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, CTEs, window functions, and data analysis.
• Experience with Databricks, SQL Server, or similar data platforms.
• Strong data fluency, including funnels, cohort analysis, dashboards, and basic statistical reasoning.
• Ability to read REST API documentation, understand webhooks, and communicate effectively with engineering teams.
• Experience with Salesforce as a product owner, administrator, or power user.
• Mortgage, loan origination, servicing, or financial services experience preferred.
• Experience with conversational AI tools such as Bland AI, ElevenLabs, Twilio, Five9, or similar is a plus.
• Familiarity with NIST AI RMF, AI governance, and state AI regulations is preferred.
