This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives on relationship-based selling and understands the commercial construction ecosystem.
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to accommodate client lunches, evening events, and industry functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Proactively cultivate and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, tenant rep brokers, owners’ representatives, and other commercial real estate professionals
• Represent the firm at industry events, trade associations, and networking functions — including AIA, BOMA, CREW, NAIOP, and similar organizations
• Schedule and conduct business development lunches, coffee meetings, and office visits with target contacts
• Identify and track project leads and opportunities through market intelligence, industry contacts, and CRM tools
• Coordinate pursuit efforts including introductions, capability presentations, and RFP responses in collaboration with operations leadership
• Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects and opportunities and provide regular reporting to firm leadership
• Assist in developing marketing materials, company presentations, and project case studies
• Represent the firm’s brand and capabilities with professionalism and enthusiasm
Qualifications
• Established network within the Houston commercial real estate and design community — particularly with architects, tenant rep brokers, or project managers
• 3+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales within commercial construction, architecture, real estate, or a closely related field
• Previous construction marketing experience in the Houston area preferred
• Demonstrated ability to build authentic, long-term professional relationships
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills — comfortable in both one-on-one and group settings
• Self motivated; able to manage a schedule and pipeline with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with the tenant improvement / commercial interiors market is a strong plus
• Proficiency with basic CRM, email marketing, and Microsoft Office tools
