SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The 1031 Exchange Coordinator will be responsible for tracking and maintaining exchange files and coordinating all real estate closings 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Document Preparation: Partner with customers and title closers to draft exchange paperwork.
  • Closing Compliance: Review settlement statements and purchase contracts for tax-rule alignment.
  • Timeline Tracking: Monitor strict statutory deadlines for 1031 exchange completion.
  • Client Advisory: Guide customers on complex exchange taxation rules under management supervision.
  • Financial Control: Track and account for all incoming transactional exchange fees.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Real Estate Knowledge: Experience with transactions and closing processes is highly valued.
  • Transferable Skills: Legal or accounting backgrounds translate directly into this compliance role.
  • Regulatory Focus: Ability to learn, interpret, and apply technical tax regulations.
The annual salary range for the 1031 Exchange Coordinator is $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
