THE PERSON
The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills, including CPU product knowledge, server architecture awareness, strong marketing and presentation skills, solid understanding of customers’ business and decision makers, ability to craft resonating customer value propositions, and strong team leadership skills. Most importantly, you are the business leader for your account, contributing to strategy, setting direction, and achieving success in all facets. You must be self-driven, and capable of operating autonomously.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of supply and demand execution from NPI to Sustaining
- Interpretation of corporate goals and how Server Business team can impact those goals
- Creation of high-impact strategies or plays from the immediate to +18 months
- Ownership of business plans, including volume, mix, revenue, margin, inventory levels and market share
- Alignment with sales, finance, account leaders, supply chain, and other teams
- Communication of strategies and plans to executive team, up to the executive team
- Contingency and/or alternatives planning for possible market shifts
- Proven Leadership and management skills
- Demonstrated achievement in a fast-paced business planning or strategy role - high tech experience preferred
- Expertise in the computing industry
- Exceptional time-management skills - ability to handle multiple ongoing projects/initiatives
- Ability to quickly create effective strategies with imperfect or insufficient datasets
- Strong organizational skills - Ability to work across a large organization and get things done
- Executive-level presentation and communication skills - ability to speak with confidence
- BS and/or MS degree in Business Management, Finance, or Engineering from a top-tier university
- MBA is a strong plus.
