What You’ll Do
- Build and execute a business development strategy to drive new revenue growth
- Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities through proactive outreach and consultative selling
- Own the full sales cycle: discovery, solution development, pricing, proposal creation, negotiation, and close
- Lead executive-level meetings and build long-term relationships with key decision makers
- Partner with internal operations and solutions teams to develop customized transportation solutions aligned to customer needs
- Maintain accurate CRM data and provide pipeline updates, forecasts, and performance insights
- Ensure customer expectations are aligned with operations to support successful onboarding and long-term service delivery
- Consistently meet or exceed activity and revenue targets
- 3+ years of business development experience in freight brokerage/logistics
- Proven ability to close new business and grow strategic accounts
- Strong consultative sales skills with executive presence and confidence in discovery
- Strong pipeline management and organizational skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of results
- Experience selling into mid-market to enterprise accounts
- Ability to leverage an existing network of shipper relationships (a plus — not required)
- Experience collaborating with operations teams to ensure strong service execution and retention
