Richelieu Hardware is searching for a Product Manager for our TASK TOOLS division. For over 50 years, TASK TOOLS has provided an assortment of Hand Tools, Power Tool Accessories, Abrasives, and Worksite Accessories to the North American market. The position is in Kitchener, Onward location, Ontario and comes with hybrid flexibility.
The main responsibilities of the position are to:
- Understanding competitive landscape to supply and provide the right product, at the right place and the right price.
- Vendor relations – Establish, maintain, and promote a positive relationship with all suppliers to the segment, includes price negotiations.
- Manage market pricing and develop promotional programs
- Support, train and assist sales teams and stakeholders to increase their knowledge of the product lines.
- Work with the Director of Product and Marketing to manage the product lifecycle of over 2000 skus, actively working to innovate and manage the product lifecycle for the assortment.
- Sourcing and developing new products.
- Working with the marketing team to develop marketing campaigns and helping to execute.
- Managing all product related data and information, keeping abreast of current market conditions for importing (tariffs, etc.)
- Minimum of 5 years as a Product Manager or Category Manager.
- Demonstratable proven track record in developing new products and successfully marketing them.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Bonus points for tools/hardware/home improvement industry experience in retail.
- Some travel may be required
