Compensation: The base annual salary range for this full-time role is $60,000 to $82,500 CAD. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salary across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside of this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to a candidate's qualifications including relevant education and training, competencies, experience, geographic location, and business needs. Base pay is only one part of the total compensation package. Full time roles are eligible for equity and benefits. Base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

As we continue to scale, our recruitment team is at the forefront of that growth. We are seeking a highly skilled Sourcer/ Recruitment Coordinator who loves the hunt. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building high-quality candidate pipelines through targeted research and proactive outreach as well as supporting across the recruitment team to keep things running smoothly. You’ll partner closely with recruiters to translate role requirements into sourcing strategies, generate strong shortlists, and keep the pipeline moving. WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
Proactive Candidate Sourcing & Research
- Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and other tools based on recruiters’ role briefs and target profiles.
- Build and refine Boolean search strings (AND/OR/NOT, parentheses, quotations, proximity logic where applicable) to identify relevant talent across platforms.
- Conduct deep research to identify prospects beyond inbound applicants (e.g., adjacent titles, transferable domains, competitor mapping, labs/research groups, niche communities).
- Generate well-calibrated shortlists with clear notes on fit, motivation signals, and any gaps/risks for recruiter review.
- Keep pipelines warm: refresh searches regularly, re-run strings, and iterate based on recruiter feedback and funnel conversion.
- Research and identify new sourcing channels, including job boards, professional networks, and conferences, to attract high-quality candidates.
- Draft and send sourcing outreach (templates or tailored messages) as directed by recruiters; track response rates and follow-ups.
- Maintain organized talent pools / prospect lists so recruiters can quickly activate pipelines for new or urgent roles.
- Support talent mapping for hard-to-fill roles by identifying target companies, key programs, and relevant specialty keywords.
- Develop and maintain relationships with universities, research labs, and academic professionals to support talent sourcing efforts.
- Prepare and post job descriptions on the ATS and job boards; ensure formatting and posting settings are accurate and consistent.
- Assist with offer document preparation and job administration tasks (as directed by recruiters).
- Maintain clean, accurate candidate records and activity notes in the ATS to ensure reporting, compliance and process consistency.
- Conduct reference checks with professionalism and discretion
- Demonstrated experience as a Talent Sourcer, Sourcing Specialist, Recruiting Coordinator (with sourcing experience), or similar role.
- Strong Boolean search capability: proven ability to build, test, and iterate strings to produce relevant candidate pools efficiently.
- Hands-on experience sourcing through LinkedIn Recruiter (or comparable sourcing platforms).
- Strong written communication and attention to detail (candidate notes, shortlists, messaging, clean ATS data).
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple sourcing requests and shifting priorities.
- Keen to learn and excited about a career in the People and Culture space
- Experience sourcing for technical or niche roles (engineering, hardware, research-heavy roles, deep tech).
- Familiarity with building/maintaining talent pools in an ATS and keeping pipelines warm over time.
- Comfort working from intake notes and translating them into a sourcing strategy (titles, target companies, must-have skills).
