Accountabilities

The Accountant is responsible for ensuring compliance of internal reporting and statutory requirements, books and reviews account payables, performs bank & cash reconciliations, supports the Finance Team for special tasks, projects, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Book suppliers invoices and employees expenses;
• Issue and book intercompany invoices and invoices to third parties;
• Book and reconcile bank accounts and cash boxes
• Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc
• Prepare payment runs for all European entities in compliance with aging policies;
• Continuing to improve the system based purchase to pay process;
• Complete month-end closing and reporting for three legal entities in Switzerland and Italy in accordance with corporate closing calendar;
• Book period-end entries like accruals, prepayments and recurring journals;
• Record all movements regarding fixed assets (purchase, disposal and depreciation);
• Support the preparation of audit documentation and statutory reports;
• Support special tasks and projects.

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of Accounting experience in a company with international operations in a similar position;
• Very strong analytical skills and used to work with high precision;
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) in German and English is a must; Italian is a plus;
• Proficient in both Microsoft Office applications and SAP;
• Flexible, team player, independent, self-motivated and with hands-on approach;

• Work well in a fast paced and demanding environment.

This position is full-time in-office.
