We’re Hiring: Junior Data Analyst / BI Developer

GECO Asia is a specialist IT and digital transformation consulting firm headquartered in Singapore with delivery centers in the Philippines.

We’re looking for a Junior Data Analyst / BI Developer to join our team and support business intelligence and data platform initiatives. Are you passionate about data, reporting, and analytics? 

This is a great opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in SQL, Power BI, data pipelines, and modern data tools.

What You’ll Do Data Analysis & Reporting

• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar BI tools
• Work with business teams to understand reporting requirements
• Analyze and validate datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability

SQL & Data Handling

• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data
• Work with databases (e.g., SQL Server or similar systems)
• Assist in preparing datasets for reporting and analytics

Data Engineering Support

• Support basic data pipelines (ETL/ELT processes)
• Assist in integrating data from different sources
• Work with modern tools such as Azure, Databricks, or Python (if applicable)

Troubleshooting & Support

• Help identify and resolve data or report-related issues
• Assist in debugging data discrepancies and performance issues
• Support production dashboards and data environments

Collaboration

• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Participate in team discussions and Agile activities
• Continuously learn and improve data and BI skills

What We’re Looking For Must Have

• 1–3 years of experience in data analytics, BI, or related roles
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools
• Basic understanding of data transformation and reporting concepts
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Good to Have

• Exposure to Azure, Databricks, or Python
• Understanding of ETL/ELT or data pipelines
• Knowledge of data modeling (e.g., star schema)
• Familiarity with Agile tools (Jira, etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
• Fresh graduates with strong internships/projects are welcome
