Location: Budapest, Hungary - the role requires approximately 10% travel.

JOB PURPOSE:

The job holder supports the development and execution of the category and brand strategy for the Ice Cream (IC) category within a defined set of EMEE markets. The role is responsible for adapting the national category and brand strategy to the specific needs, dynamics, and opportunities of these assigned markets and for executing integrated brand marketing plans that deliver the short‑term financial and market performance objectives.

The job holder collaborates closely with the central EMEE Marketing team, local Customer Business Development teams, Customer Operations, and Finance to co‑develop and implement market‑specific category strategies, brand plans, channel priorities, and customer initiatives. The role ensures that the central strategy is effectively localized, operationalized, and brought to life in a way that maximizes growth in the assigned markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead annual Integrated Business Planning process (IBP) together with the Customer Business Development Lead
  • Execute the annual Marketing Plan, as defined in the IBP: a) Develop and execute launch / re-launch plans. b) Plan & co-ordinate the implementation of initiatives (e.g. packaging artworks, media).
  • Deploy strategically aligned commercial plan in market (sell-out, channel, brand strategy) together with Customer Business Development Lead. Execute, evaluate & propose corrective actions (e.g. protect stock level, penetrate more a customer, roll-out an exclusivity)
  • Implementation of a proper product, price, place & promotion mix, to achieve market and financial objectives. Manage portfolio 5S (Smart pricing, Smart mix, Smart product platforms, Smart sourcing, Smart buying and partnering) programs and network/Supply Chain discussions.
  • Participate in the monthly Sales & Operations Process (S&OP) and adjust forecast proposing actions) in response to changing conditions and priorities 
  • Leading Destination portfolio process for the respective market and responsible for AWs update (BLUE).
  • P&L ownership and together with CBD team report weekly top line performance. Together with CBD & SC, propose actions for obsoletes management on a monthly basis, organizing activities with stock with short SL.
  • Cascade channel, segment, COTC guidelines to distributors; ensuring proper execution (DAVE model).
  • Together with the distributor align on POSM, visibility & instore activations.
  • Conduct deep dives in channel and market reviews (frequently visiting also the customers, stores, etc.).
  • Budget owner (e.g. Trade promo, Media budget). Manage the review and actions of the monthly forecasting outputs.
  • Tracking total category/channel business performance; ensuring data driven decision.
  • Capitalize ICNow trend and improve our penetration om the channel.
  • Representing EMEE cluster in a specific platform in EE & EU central team forums

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or Communications.
  • A master’s degree in marketing or an MBA will be considered as a plus
  • 2-3 years of experience in marketing with similar responsibilities.
  • Extensive experience in media management (both traditional and digital), consumer and shopper activation campaigns, and product development.
  • Proficiency in English.
