This is a full-time hybrid role based in Houston, TX, with opportunities for occasional remote work. The Executive Director will oversee the strategic direction, financial health, and daily operations of Single Mom Scholars Houston. Responsibilities include program management, fundraising, community outreach, partnership development, and staff leadership. The role also involves advocating for single mothers, managing budgets, and fostering relationships with diverse stakeholders to further the organization’s mission.
- Leadership, strategic planning, and organizational management skills
- Fundraising, donor relations, and grant writing expertise
- Strong public speaking, advocacy, and community engagement abilities
- Proficiency in financial management and budgeting
- Team-building experience and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Social Work, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Experience working with underserved populations, especially single-parent households, is highly desirable
