The Opportunity
The Vice President of Manufacturing (USCAN) is responsible for setting and executing the end-to-end manufacturing strategy across all U.S. and Canada sites. This role drives operational excellence, scalability, and performance through a disciplined focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) and the deployment of Lean principles within a value stream-based operating model.
This leader collaborates closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, HSE, HR, and Finance to ensure manufacturing capabilities align with business growth, customer needs, and long-term objectives. The VP will drive operational modernization, strengthen value stream ownership, and cultivate a high-performing culture that consistently delivers customer-focused results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a multi-site manufacturing strategy aligned to business growth, customer demand, and operational scalability.
- Establish and embed a value stream-based organizational model with clear end-to-end accountability for performance, flow, and customer outcomes.
- Translate enterprise strategy into operational priorities, SQDC metrics, and execution roadmaps.
- Partner with S&OP to align demand, capacity, and resource planning across value streams and sites.
- Implement and lead value stream structures with ownership from raw material through finished goods delivery.
- Drive flow-based thinking and execution, reducing handoffs, bottlenecks, and lead times across the manufacturing network.
- Enable value stream leaders with clear accountability, performance visibility, and decision-making authority.
- Align metrics, incentives, and governance to reinforce end-to-end value delivery vs. functional silos.
- Champion a Safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all EH&S and regulatory standards.
- Deploy and sustain SQDC performance management systems, including tiered accountability and visual management.
- Lead Lean transformation initiatives including value stream mapping, standard work, waste elimination, and continuous flow.
- Establish consistent operating rhythms (Gemba walks, daily management, KPI reviews) across all sites and value streams.
- Drive continuous improvement in throughput, quality, delivery performance, and cost efficiency.
- Own full manufacturing P&L across USCAN, including cost, productivity, and capital deployment.
- Deliver year-over-year improvements in cost, efficiency, and operational margins.
- Optimize resources across value streams including labor, materials, logistics, and overhead.
- Align capital strategy with growth, capacity expansion, and operational modernization.
- Ensure capacity and capability alignment across sites and value streams to meet current and future demand.
- Lead footprint optimization and standardization while maintaining flexibility for growth.
- Partners with supply chain strengthen end-to-end value stream performance and resilience.
- Ensure robust, standardized quality systems across all sites and value streams.
- Drive a culture of zero defects and proactive quality ownership.
- Partner with commercial and project teams to consistently meet customer-specific requirements and commitments.
- Build and develop a high-performing leadership team, including value stream leaders.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and transparency.
- Coach leaders on Lean leadership behaviors, flow-based management, and data-driven decision-making.
- Act as a visible, hands-on leader across sites.
- Partner with Engineering to ensure design for manufacturability and value stream efficiency.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure material flow and supplier alignment to value stream needs.
- Align with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and performance management.
- Provide executive-level insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in Operations Management or Lean Management.
- Proven track record of leading value stream-based organizations, with end-to-end ownership from raw material through finished goods, driving flow, accountability, and customer alignment
- Demonstrated success in Lean transformation, including value stream mapping, flow optimization, and waste elimination at scale
- 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including multi-site and multi-value-stream responsibility
- Strong P&L ownership and financial acumen
