Responsibilities
- Establish, develop and maintain customer relationships for Centerline Logistics Corporation and all subsidiary companies
- Assist in demurrage calculations
- Assist in contract admin
- Ensure on hire and off hire times are accurate and timely
- Ad Hoc reporting and operational research
- Develop and maintain reports to track planned and unplanned service disruptions, and utilization
- Assist in tracking and maintaining maintenance banks
- Work closely with Commercial, Dispatch, Operations, and Accounting departments as needed to ensure efficient communication and company wide objectives are met.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, but not required.
- 1-3 years of Maritime Experience Preferred
- Must have some knowledge of the marine petroleum transportation industry
- Must be able to develop and maintain professional relationships
- Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
- Experience with maritime associations and sales preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience and knowledge in petroleum transport and logistics, terminal transfers, and bunkering.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, type, and understand English in person and over telephone.
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of customer relations, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced office setting and be capable of handling multiple projects with firm deadlines.
- Ability to deal with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications.
- Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.
- Computer skills that include, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and typing of a minimum of 60 words per minute.
- Ability to work with office staff, customers and vessel crew members.
- Valid driver's license.
- Per iodic travel expected
- Work with but not limited to computers, fax machines, copiers
- May be required to sit for long periods of time.
- Infrequent light physical effort required.
- Normal office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Some after hours and weekend hours may be required
