Senior Product Manager, AI Data Platform

Our client is a fast-growing, privately owned technology company building a next-generation AI data platform for enterprise customers.

They’re creating a product designed to compete directly with leading platforms such as Databricks, Palantir Foundry, and Dataiku but with a more flexible, developer friendly approach built for modern data and AI workflows.

This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage and help define a category-defining platform that sits at the intersection of data engineering, AI/ML, and enterprise software. The product will power critical decision making for some of the world’s largest organisations.

The role 💡

They’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to take ownership of the platform and help shape its future from the ground up.

This is effectively a founding PM role, working directly with senior leadership to define product vision, strategy, and execution.

You’ll operate at the intersection of:

• Data infrastructure
• AI/ML workflows
• Enterprise product development

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role focused on building a complex platform from early stages through to scale.

What you’ll be doing ⚙️

Owning the product vision and strategy for the AI data platform.

Defining the roadmap across:

• Data integration
• Transformation pipelines
• Orchestration
• Governance
• AI/ML capabilities

• Leading deep customer discovery and competitive analysis to identify gaps vs existing platforms.
• Working closely with engineering leadership on architecture and technical direction.
• Partnering with enterprise customers to understand complex workflows and requirements.
• Driving products from early validation through to launch and scale.
• Defining success metrics and iterating based on data and feedback.
• Communicating product direction clearly to leadership and stakeholders.

About you 🧠

You’re a Senior Product Manager who enjoys building complex, technical platforms from the ground up.

• 8+ years in product management, ideally including time in high-growth or startup environments.
• Proven experience building AI data platforms, data infrastructure, or ML platforms.
• Strong understanding of modern data stacks (data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT, orchestration, governance).
• Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, model deployment, and MLOps concepts.
• Experience building products that compete with platforms like Databricks, Palantir, Snowflake, or Dataiku.
• Technically strong and comfortable working closely with engineers, architects, and data teams.
• Experience working with enterprise customers and complex buying environments.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to define vision and translate it into execution.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and taking full ownership in a small, high-impact team.
