Role Description
We're looking for a Social Media Manager who owns the social space and lives and breathes platforms, trends, and content strategy. This role leads organic social at the agency: managing accounts, driving strategy, running client conversations, and working in close partnership with our Creative, PR, Media, and Brand teams. You'll sit within the Digital Experience workstream and collaborate daily with a dedicated Social Media Producer to develop and execute high-performing content. If you're "chronically online", always tracking what's trending, understanding why it's resonating, and already thinking about how to make the brand version better, this is your role.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day management and strategic direction of client social media accounts across all platforms.
- Lead social strategy development, content planning, and editorial calendar management aligned with brand objectives and campaign goals.
- Serve as the primary contact for social: owning status meetings, strategy presentations, and performance reviews.
- Partner with the Social Media Producer to brief, review, and deliver content that's on-brand, platform-native, and built for the audience.
- Work cross-functionally with the greater Creative Services group, PR, Brand, Content Production, and Media to integrate social into broader campaign ecosystems.
- Monitor and actively engage across all social channels daily by responding to comments, flagging opportunities, and protecting brand voice.
- Build and deliver regular analytics reports with clear insights and actionable optimization recommendations.
- Track emerging trends, platform updates, and cultural moments, and bring ideas to the table proactively.
- Continuously evolve the agency's social offerings, tools, and best practices.
- Serve as the internal authority on all things social.
Creator & Influencer Marketing
- Develop and manage creator and influencer programs across multiple client accounts, from strategy through execution and reporting.
- Identify, vet, and build relationships with creators and influencers aligned to client brand and audience objectives.
- Negotiate and manage creator agreements, deliverables, timelines, and usage rights.
- Monitor and report on creator campaign performance with clear ROI and optimization recommendations.
- Stay current on the evolving creator economy, emerging talent, platform-native formats, and partnership models.
- Maintain familiarity with UGC rights, content licensing, and basic compliance requirements.
Skills
- Deep, platform-native knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and emerging channels.
- Hands-on proficiency with social media management and scheduling platforms (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, or equivalent).
- Strong command of social analytics and listening tools, with the ability to turn data into clear, client-ready insights.
- Experience developing organic social strategy from brief through execution.
- Working knowledge of paid social and how it complements organic programs.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously without losing quality or accountability.
- Sharp written communication skills with a strong eye for brand voice and platform-appropriate tone.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of social media experience within an advertising agency or brand-side marketing team.
- Demonstrated experience managing creator and influencer programs.
- Proven track record managing multi-platform social accounts for clients or brands.
- Client-facing experience and confidence in presenting strategy and performance to stakeholders.
- Self-directed, proactive, and accountable. You're someone who takes ownership, not just direction.
A Plus
- Experience with dedicated influencer marketing platforms (AspireIQ, Grin, Creator.co, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with affiliate or performance-based creator program structures.
- Experience working alongside a paid media or integrated campaign team.
