Cad Draughtsman

Our client, a well-established manufacturing business, is looking to appoint an experienced CAD Draughtsman with strong SolidWorks expertise to support their design and production teams.

This is a hands-on role focused on producing accurate 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings for fabrication and assembly. The successful candidate will play a key role in translating concepts into production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks.
• Produce manufacturing drawings including assemblies, components, and fabrication details.
• Generate BOMs (Bills of Materials) and support production documentation.
• Work closely with design engineers, production teams, and project managers.
• Modify and update existing drawings in line with design changes.
• Ensure all drawings meet manufacturing standards, tolerances, and quality requirements.
• Support prototyping and product development activities.
• Maintain accurate drawing records and version control.

• Proven experience as a CAD Draughtsman / CAD Technician within a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (essential).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, sheet metal, assembly).
• Ability to produce detailed, production-ready drawings.
• Experience creating BOMs and working with engineering documentation.
