Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed mechanical estimates by reviewing drawings, specifications, and scope
- Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather required information
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure accuracy
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering suggestions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing and industry standards
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the construction or mechanical services industry
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plant equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with estimation software and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, construction, or related fields are desirable
