Materials Management Team Leader

This is a fantastic chance for someone with a strong understanding of inventory systems, who is ready to take the next step in their career within a forward-thinking NHS Trust.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in supply chain or inventory management, ideally within a healthcare setting
  • In-depth knowledge of the Omnicell Inventory Management System
  • Confident in gathering, analysing, and interpreting data to inform decision
  • Previous experience managing or supervising a small team
  • Strong understanding of stock control processes and the use of information system

Main duties of the job

As part of our commitment to innovation and efficiency, the Trust is introducing a new Inventory Management System to support the Scan4Safety programme. You will play a key role in delivering and managing this system, working closely with the Assistant Supply Chain Manager and a small, dedicated team. Your focus will be on stock control and the timely replenishment of clinical consumables, alongside overseeing the rollout and continued administration of the system.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Understand stock control gained either in previous employment or through equivalent qualification
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

Desirable criteria

  • Equivalent experience to NVQ 3
  • Holder of NVQ 3 SCM

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience (min 2 years) at a systems or information and data analysis role
  • Experience of stock control, materials management
  • Experience of Trust Inventory Management System

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of applying principles of change management
  • Experience of Supervisory/Managing a Materials management team
  • Knowledge of Frimley Health NHSFT
  • Experience of Heatherwood Hospital

Skills

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrable IT skills and knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Evidence of ability to prioritise and plan own work and work of others effectively
