CSP has partnered with a thriving nonprofit organization to identify a Director of Talent Experience. The team is seeking an individual who believes employee relations is rooted in trust, empathy, and thoughtful leadership, not just policies.

This role provides senior leadership over all employee relations and engagement initiatives, ensuring employees feel heard, supported, and treated fairly. You’ll be a steady, compassionate presence in complex situations and a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization. As a member of the Expanded Executive Leadership Team and Leadership Council, you’ll help shape a culture grounded in dignity, belonging, and accountability.


What You’ll Do

Lead Employee Relations with Empathy

  • Partner closely with executive leadership and people managers to guide all aspects of employee relations
  • Provide thoughtful counsel aligned with organizational values to strengthen relationships, build morale, and support retention
  • Navigate sensitive and high‑stakes employee matters with discretion, clarity, and compassion

Champion Engagement, Retention, and Belonging

  • Design and lead employee engagement and retention strategies that deliver measurable impact
  • Strengthen manager–employee communication and support performance management practices that promote growth and accountability
  • Lead employee recognition and people‑focused programs that foster belonging and connection

Shape the Full Employee Experience

  • Champion and continuously improve the onboarding and offboarding experience in partnership with Talent Acquisition and Talent Development
  • Partner with leadership to support talent succession and long‑term workforce planning with a strong focus on equity and inclusion
  • Lead People & Culture programs and events that reinforce trust, transparency, and community

Lead and Develop the Talent Experience Team

  • Coach and develop Talent Experience team members and consultants
  • Provide timely guidance on employee relations, engagement strategy, and retention efforts


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in employee relations
  • Master’s degree and/or HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP/SHRM‑SCP) a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, especially in emotionally sensitive or high‑stakes situations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy while delivering candid, constructive feedback
  • Proven experience building and leading high‑performing HR teams
  • Strong conflict‑resolution skills and the ability to maintain trusted working relationships at all levels
  • Comfort working in ambiguity with adaptability, resilience, and sound judgment
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and Excel
