Position Summary
The Software Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle, and driving revenue growth for the company’s scheduling software platform. This role focuses on identifying prospective clients, demonstrating the software solution, building long-term relationships, and closing new business.
The ideal candidate has experience selling SaaS with workforce management solutions, strong consultative sales skills, and the ability to understand operational staffing challenges across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, email campaigns, networking, referrals, and social selling
- Identify customer pain points related to workforce scheduling, labor management, and operational efficiency
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for prospective clients
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiation and closing
- Maintain and grow a qualified sales pipeline within CRM systems
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Client Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with business owners, operations managers, HR leaders, and executive decision-makers
- Provide consultative recommendations based on customer workforce needs
- Coordinate with implementation and customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding
- Maintain ongoing communication with prospects and clients throughout the sales process
Product & Market Expertise
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the software scheduling platform and industry trends
- Stay informed on competitor offerings and workforce management technologies
- Gather customer feedback and communicate market insights to leadership and product teams
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of activities, pipeline status, and forecasts within CRM software
- Prepare sales reports and revenue projections
- Attend sales meetings, trade shows, conferences, and networking events as needed
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in software, SaaS, or technology sales
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Experience selling workforce management, scheduling, HR tech, or operational software
- Knowledge of industries with shift-based staffing environments
- Familiarity with SaaS subscription sales models
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
