Role Overview
The Fit-Out Site Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of commercial fit-out projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
This role suits a site professional with strong finishing experience, excellent subcontractor coordination skills and the ability to operate autonomously while maintaining clear communication with the wider project team and client representatives.
Responsibilities
Site & Project Delivery
- Manage all on-site activities from mobilisation through to practical completion and handover
- Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and sequencing
- Monitor programme milestones and proactively manage delays or clashes
- Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and fit-out standards
Quality Control
- Oversee high-quality finishes across all trades (joinery, partitions, ceilings, M&E coordination, finishes)
- Carry out regular inspections, snagging and quality checks
- Ensure all works meet client expectations and design intent
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Designers, and Client Teams
- Attend site and progress meetings, providing clear updates on programme and risks
- Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning activities
Commercial & Reporting
- Assist with tracking site costs, variations and productivity
- Maintain site diaries, progress reports and photographic records
- Support final account and handover documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit-out or interiors projects
- Strong understanding of fit-out sequencing, finishes and services coordination
- Background in a trade or construction discipline (carpentry/joinery advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors in fast-paced environments
- Strong Health & Safety awareness
