About the Role
This is an early-career opportunity to build a strong foundation in financial services, working closely with experienced Account Managers and State Managers to support and grow relationships with financial advisers.
You will play a key role in engaging advisers, supporting client interactions and contributing to business development activity across your region. The role offers exposure to investment products, portfolio construction and adviser practices, with clear pathways into relationship management or sales roles over time..
Role Responsibilities
- Support Account Managers and State Managers in managing and developing relationships with financial advisers and intermediary clients
- Conduct structured outbound activity to engage advisers, generate interest and identify new opportunities
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective adviser relationships through consistent follow-up and CRM management
- Prepare for and support adviser meetings, including coordinating materials, insights and follow-up actions
- Develop an understanding of adviser needs, portfolio construction approaches and platform usage to identify relevant solutions
- Maintain accurate records of adviser interactions, opportunities and activity in CRM systems
- Collaborate with internal teams (investment strategy, marketing, client services) to deliver timely and relevant adviser engagement
- Contribute to agreed activity and performance metrics, including calls, meetings and opportunity generation
Must-haves (max 6):
- 1–3 years’ experience in financial services, sales, or client-facing roles
- Strong communication skills, particularly phone-based engagement
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, follow up consistently and stay organised
- Genuine interest in financial markets and investment products
- Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in client conversations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (or ability to learn)
Nice-to-haves:
- Degree in Commerce, Business, Economics or related field
- Exposure to financial advisers, platforms or investment products
- RG146 (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in outbound sales or pipeline development
