More About The Role
As a Senior Account Executive at Burson, you won’t just be executing campaigns, you’ll be helping shape them. Working closely with Account Directors and Client Leads, you’ll bring strategy to life across earned, digital and influencer channels, delivering work that genuinely moves the needle for our clients’ reputations.
You’ll sit at the heart of the action, building strong client partnerships, confidently engaging media, mentoring junior talent and contributing ideas that elevate both campaigns and the wider agency.
This is a dynamic, high-visibility role with real breadth. From strategic planning and media engagement to commercial exposure and new business support, you’ll gain hands-on experience across the full spectrum of agency life.
We’re ideally looking for a Consumer focused SAE based in Sydney, with strong core PR fundamentals, complemented by experience or interest in areas such as paid social, influencer engagement, earned creative or social/content.

What You’ll Do
- Help shape strategy, not just execute it – partner with Client Leads and Account Directors to turn ideas into impactful, integrated campaigns
- Own delivery that makes an impact – lead day-to-day execution across media, influencer and integrated programs
- Be the voice behind the coverage – pitch confidently to journalists, editors and creators to secure high-quality earned outcomes
- Craft stories that cut through – develop compelling press releases, pitches, social content and campaign materials
- Bring campaigns to life – coordinate events, activations and press moments from concept through to delivery
- Turn results into insight – track performance, analyse coverage and contribute to meaningful reporting
- Build trusted client relationships – develop strong client understanding and proactively identify opportunities
- Elevate those around you – mentor junior team members and contribute to a high-performing team culture
- Support growth – contribute to new business, case studies and agency initiatives
- Experience in PR or communications (agency preferred), ideally across consumer or corpsumer campaigns
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to connect earned, social, digital and influencer into cohesive campaigns
- Strong core PR fundamentals, media relations, pitching, storytelling and stakeholder engagement
- Paid social

- Strong social and digital understanding, including platform nuances and trend awareness
- Excellent writing skills across media and digital formats
- Digital fluency, with openness to using data, insights and AI tools to enhance performance
- Highly organised, commercially aware and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
