Founded in 2020, Masters’ Union is a new-age, industry-led university focused on business, technology, engineering, and entrepreneurship. About Role:

The Head - Events & Operations will oversee and coordinate the operational aspects of events from planning through execution. This role involves managing event logistics, coordinating teams, ensuring smooth execution, and ensuring that all aspects of the event align with the client’s goals and expectations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead teams effectively under pressure.


Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Coordination:

  • Work closely with the Event Manager to develop operational plans for events, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and objectives are met.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and venues to confirm logistical details (e.g., catering, transportation, AV, security).
  • Conduct site inspections and assess event locations to ensure suitability.


Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of event coordinators and volunteers during prevent setup, event execution, and post-event breakdown.
  • Assign tasks and ensure team members are well-prepared, trained, and clear on responsibilities. 3


On-Site Event Management:

  • Serve as the main point of contact on the event day for staff, vendors, and clients.
  • Ensure that event schedules are adhered to, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems in real-time.
  • Supervise event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational guidelines.


Budget and Resource Management:

  • Monitor event budgets to ensure cost-efficiency and prevent overruns.
  • Track inventory and manage resources (e.g., equipment, signage) to ensure availability and proper usage.


Communication & Client Interaction:

  • Maintain clear and continuous communication with clients, team members, and vendors.
  • Update clients on event status, address concerns, and adjust plans as necessary to meet their needs.


Post-Event Analysis:

  • Participate in post-event evaluations and provide feedback on operations.
  • Assist with generating reports on event performance, including lessons learned and areas for improvement.
