In addition to developing vendor relationships, this individual will play a key role in supporting business growth by identifying and securing new client opportunities. The position requires both operational insight and a commercial mindset, bridging partnerships with revenue generation across global import and export operations (ocean and air).

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, expand, and maintain strategic relationships with local logistics vendors, including freight forwarders, warehousing providers, trucking companies, and customs brokers.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified vendors to support import and export operations.
  • Oversee vendor performance to ensure service excellence, cost efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
  • Partner with internal operations teams to align vendor capabilities with ocean and air shipment requirements.
  • Lead rate negotiations and establish service agreements and contracts with vendors.
  • Analyze market trends and local logistics conditions to optimize vendor strategy and sourcing decisions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through industry networks and proactive market outreach.
  • Contribute to sales growth by leveraging relationships to generate leads and support client acquisition efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, pricing, and sales teams to ensure seamless and efficient service delivery.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the global logistics / freight forwarding industry.
  • Proven network with logistics vendors, including warehousing, trucking, and customs brokerage providers.
  • Working knowledge of air and ocean freight, including terminal operations, LCL/CFS procedures, and inland transportation (FTL/LTL).
  • Demonstrated ability or strong potential to contribute to business development and client acquisition.
  • Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and freight forwarding systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Fluency in English is a must; Chinese language skills are preferred but not mandatory.
