Job Description
Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000 per year; DOE
Under administrative direction, plans, organizes and directs operations/responsibilities of a department to ensure ongoing efficient and effective delivery of services in accordance with established priorities, strategies and goals.
Essential Duties
- Plans, directs and reviews activities and operations to ensure achievement of established objectives and goals consistent with the mission of the University and assigned projects related to the Board of Regents.
- Develops strategies and approaches to successfully implement strategic initiatives under the direction of the Senior Vice President.
- Directs new planning, development, and implementation.
- Collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives; maintains effective relationships.
- Assists with developing annual strategic goals and objectives along with internal policy and procedure to aid in meeting project goals and objectives.
- Works collaboratively with university leadership, and other related staff to define and identify all required infrastructure needs to implement strategic initiatives.
- Resolves problems and/or issues and reviews measures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of specific projects.
- Directs, manages and oversees the design, development, coordination and evaluation of programs and projects to ensure achievement of established outcomes.
- Assembles agenda items for Arizona Board of Regents meetings and events, and maintains official meeting records.
- Coordinators and attends meetings, participates in discussions, and follows up on meeting items.
- Assists the Senior Vice President with confidential and highly sensitive projects.
- Serves as liaison with community, faculty, and staff on behalf of the Senior Vice President.
- Plans, schedules, and executes high-level visits and tours of campus for regents on behalf of the Senior Vice President.
- Arranges detailed agendas and itineraries, biographical information, and serves as one of the primary contacts for regents before and during visits.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices pertaining to the assigned responsibilities.
- Knowledge of strategic planning principles and practices.
- Skill in problem problem-solving and decision-making.
- Skill in planning, analyzing and coordinating activities/meetings and establishing priorities on behalf of the Senior Vice President to ensure productive and efficient operations.
- Skill in both verbal and written communication and attention to details.
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
- May be required to perform tasks in the field within and/or across University campuses.
