Account Manager & Business Development, Healthcare Staffing
Health Source Group is growing, and we're looking for a dynamic, people-first professional to join our team in a hybrid role that blends account management with new business development.
We're looking for someone with exceptional interpersonal skills, natural relationship-building instincts, and the hustle to open doors and grow accounts. If you light up a room, love the chase of new business, and take pride in delivering for clients once they're on board, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Drive new business development through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship-building with prospective clients including nursing homes, school districts, hospital systems, medical practices, non-profits, and other professional organizations.
- Own and expand existing client accounts by serving as a trusted partner, anticipating needs, and delivering consistently strong service.
- Coordinate timely scheduling and staffing of per-diem shifts and long-term placements, working closely with clients and candidates to ensure accurate, smooth workflow.
- Conduct virtual and in-person visits to prospects and clients to deepen relationships and win new business.
- Recruit, interview, and hire qualified healthcare professionals through virtual and in-person channels as needed.
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic projects and initiatives, and bring a leadership presence to the office.
- Meet and exceed production and business development goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with compliance, accounting, and management teams.
- Participate in light on-call work as needed.
Qualifications
- A high-energy, outgoing, relationship-driven personality who thrives on connecting with people and building rapport quickly.
- A natural business developer with strong outreach instincts — comfortable picking up the phone, sending the cold email, and showing up in person to win new accounts.
- A self-starter who takes ownership of their role and is motivated by both personal and company success.
Strong Plus
- Prior experience working with schools, the NYC Department of Education, or non-profit organizations.
- Existing relationships or familiarity with healthcare staffing for educational or non-profit settings.
Requirements
- Prior experience in healthcare staffing or a closely related industry.
- Willingness to put in some work after hours when needed.
- In-person role based at our office (walking distance from the LIRR and near major highways).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $65,000–$75,000, with flexibility to go higher for the right candidate
- Commission structure on top of base
- 401(k) with matching
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off
- Strong growth potential and excellent work environment
