You will also play a key role in supplier negotiations, contract management, and financial planning processes, while contributing to the development of a best-in-class strategic sourcing organization. Your expertise in supply management and ability to influence stakeholders will be critical in driving value creation and ensuring supply continuity in a highly regulated environment.
What will you do:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies and goals for assigned commodities in alignment with divisional business objectives.
- Partner with global category teams to support the development and execution of global category strategies.
- Negotiate long-term supply contracts to achieve optimal pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Serve as escalation point for resolving supplier-related issues and performance challenges.
- Conduct cost analysis and make vs. buy (Mako vs Buy) evaluations as required.
- Support budgeting, cost roll, and financial forecasting processes, including annual operating budget planning.
- Identify supply base risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Monitor and communicate market conditions, supplier performance, and relevant technology trends.
- Support development of supplier scorecards and participate in business reviews with key suppliers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies with business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field required.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in supply management.
- Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries is highly preferred.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills with proven ability to achieve favorable commercial outcomes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization principles.
