About CBTW
We are a global tech solutions company that believes Collaboration Betters the World.
Leveraging strategy, technology, and design, we partner with organizations worldwide to offer comprehensive solutions from idea conception to product realization. We work with people around the globe to advise, build, run, and support the creation of products with purpose.
About the role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Account Manager based in Colombia to oversee and govern key enterprise accounts in North America. Because this role involves taking on strategic and escalatory responsibilities traditionally held by executive technology leadership, a deep technical foundation is non-negotiable.
You will be the primary technical and commercial anchor for complex IT portfolios, specifically driving the delivery and maintenance of enterprise content management systems (Drupal) and the implementation of core banking platforms (Temenos). You will interface directly with C-suite and executive stakeholders to align our technical delivery with their broader business objectives, while maintaining strict oversight of account profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery & Escalation Management
- Act as the senior technical authority and point of contact for North American enterprise clients, engaging confidently with technical and executive-level stakeholders.
- Take the lead in resolving major project escalations. You must be able to navigate complex technical complaints, translate technical roadblocks for non-technical stakeholders, and steer teams back to stability.
Solutions Architecture & Strategic Growth
- Lead the creation and presentation of high-level technical proposals, ensuring proposed architectures and project roadmaps are viable and clearly articulated to executive teams.
- Draft, review, and finalize complex Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring technical scope, deliverables, and assumptions are accurately captured.
Resource Allocation & Contractor Management
- Assess complex technical project requirements to oversee optimal team resource allocation.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of external technical contractors, including adding, renewing, and removing specialized resources as architectural and project demands shift.
- Partner directly with external recruitment agencies to source niche technical talent, independently driving rate negotiations to secure cost-effective engineering expertise.
Delivery-Driven Financial Performance (P&L)
- Assume ultimate responsibility for the Profit & Loss (P&L) of assigned accounts.
- Closely track financial performance on at least a monthly basis in collaboration with Project Managers and the Finance team.
- Drive financial efficiency through optimized technical delivery to ensure a minimum gross margin of 30% across all managed accounts.
Qualifications
Experience
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in technical account management, IT consulting, software engineering leadership, or technical delivery.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, enterprise-level technical accounts based in the US and Canada.
- Demonstrable experience acting as a proxy for senior technology leadership when navigating executive-level relationships and steering complex commercial/technical negotiations.
- Deep understanding and prior experience overseeing projects involving enterprise CMS architecture (e.g., Drupal) and complex financial/core banking platforms (e.g., Temenos).
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
- A Master’s degree in a technical discipline, or an MBA coupled with a strong technical background, is considered a strong asset.
Skills & Competencies
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken) with exceptional executive and technical presentation skills.
- Strong grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), agile delivery methodologies, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Strong financial acumen with direct experience managing P&L, calculating gross margins, and tracking account health.
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills, with the ability to de-escalate critical technical project emergencies diplomatically.
We offer
- Competitive Salary.
- Language courses.
- Sodexo food card.
- Health and life insurance.
- Being part of a global team.
- Continuing education opportunities.
- Virtual company events each month.
- Multicultural and inclusive work environment.
- Career development and professional growth opportunities.
- Paid Time Off (vacation, sick leave, maternity and paternity leave, COL holidays).
