The Role:
Support financial reporting by preparing accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and standard reports in compliance with accounting standards. Guide junior staff in applying internal controls and ensure timely submission of month-end and year-end financial reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain reporting accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Guides team members in preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with internal standards.
- Coaches junior accountants in applying IFRS or GAAP standards during financial reporting.
- Guides team in adhering to internal controls and assisting in routine audit preparations.
- Supports teams in implementing minor process improvements and standardization of reporting workflows.
- Guides peers in using financial systems, templates, and reporting tools efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- Coursework in financial reporting, taxation, or auditing is advantageous.
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or related roles, preferably in BPO, shared services, or corporate environments.
- Proficiency in preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and standard financial reports.
- Knowledge of IFRS / GAAP accounting standards and basic internal controls.
- Ability to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Experience in analyzing financial transactions and reporting variances.
- Familiarity with accounting software and Excel-based reporting tools.
- Ability to guide or assist junior staff in accounting tasks while ensuring accuracy.
- Basic understanding of audit preparation, compliance, and financial process improvement.
