ABOUT THE ROLE:
In a nutshell; Reporting to the VP Global Messaging, the role focusses on developing an international SMS A2P business and expand company presence within the messaging market worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participating and implementing sales strategy in Messaging.
- Trading activity – Account/Relationship Management (negotiating and concluding agreements with customers and suppliers).
- Grow the existing accounts by developing new business and implementing innovative commercial approach.
- Negotiate Cross-Deals between SMS and other product portfolio, namely Voice.
- Achieving sales targets established by management by managing a portfolio of customers.
- Business Development – identifying prospective customers, networking and building relationships with potential clients ( carriers - aggregators, mobile operators, OTTs).
- Monitor and analyze market trends and rates, providing market intelligence concerningregulatory changes, market dynamics, industry trends, and competition activities.
- Provide business inputs covering items such as price, quality of service, service features to message routing team
- Reaching Sales and Development targets through finding mutually beneficial solutions and building long-term business relationships with Key Partners. He/she is responsible for managing the wholesale relations with other Carriers-Aggregators, OTTs, CPaaS, MNOs interconnects and coverage extension with new countries & products. The goal is to contribute in sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.
ABOUT YOU:
You are experienced in account management with knowledge of the messaging market and the OTTs and carrier-aggregator space, that can contribute to our growth strategy. You are independent and self-confident professional with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- You are able to self-motivate, inspire and be inspired by others in an open, collaborative and results driven team.
- You are a motivated and business driven person with experience in selling messaging.
- Result driven: You will have ambitious targets to close develop markets to enhance the position of iBasis.
- You are able to develop business with new prospects.
- You have the ability to translate the specific requirements of customers into a clear customer approach.
YOU’LL BRING:
- University degree
- 5+ years’ experience in the Messaging industry experience selling SMS products in SMS enterprise domain. Complementary experience in Wholesale voice industry will be also valued.
- Minimum requirement of 3 years of Enterprise sales experience, selling A2P SMS (other messaging channels are a plus).
- Self-drive and motivation to succeed are as important as teamwork and transparency.
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Comprehensive know how of the SMS A2P service (business drivers, value chain, technical features) and main stake holders in the Global Market
- Customer focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Regular travel required, including customer visits and event conferences.
- Must be fluent in English, second language (Portuguese, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, …) preferred.
