Whether itﾒs one displaced family, thousands of disaster victims, or providing care and comfort to an ill or injured service member or veteran or support to a military family member or providing blood to hospitals, our vital work is made possible by people like you. It is through the time and care of ordinary people that we can do extraordinary things.

The American Red Cross is currently building a queue of sheltering volunteers to support communities during disasters such as home fires, severe weather, and large-scale emergencies.

At this time, we are cycling through our active volunteer roster, and as needs arise, individuals from this interest queue will be contacted for onboarding, training, and placement. This ensures we are prepared to respond quickly when shelters are opened and additional support is needed.
