Project Manager - Large-Scale Mechanical Construction (Massive Data Center Project)

A leading national mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee major mechanical construction efforts on one of the largest data center projects in the region. What You Will Do

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and executing all aspects of mechanical construction from preconstruction through turnover. Your responsibilities will include:

Project Leadership and Execution
  • Track and forecast project-level financials and provide regular reporting to executive leadership
  • Produce, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules
  • Lead change management efforts including assembling estimates, budgets, and proposals
  • Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure alignment with project goals
  • Negotiate contracts and manage commercial terms
  • Attend and lead project meetings with internal teams, clients, and partners
  • Mentor and develop project engineers and other team members
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collaborate closely with field supervisors, foremen, fabrication shop leadership, VDC/CAD/Detailing teams, project engineers, and project accountants
  • Ensure seamless communication and coordination across all project stakeholders
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
What You BringRequired Skills and Experience
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to navigate complex situations
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to adapt quickly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
