Position Purpose And Summary

This role advances the mission and vision of the University by faithfully sharing the story of Trinity Western, inviting people to enrol in a transformative educational experience in which they're Equipped for Life™.

As the enrolment marketing lead for undergraduate and flexible programs, this role is responsible for developing and deploying effective enrolment strategies aimed at driving student acquisition and retention.

Key Areas of Accountability

Marketing & Communications Management

  • Successfully lead undergraduate and flexible enrolment marketing efforts based on a well-developed and informed understanding of the strategic direction, goals and needs of the University.
  • Assist in leading the creation and development of the annual graduate studies enrollment marketing strategy, calendar, budget, and reporting, including planning and executing strategic resets.
  • Assist in determining budget and resource allocation to successfully execute marketing plans
  • Lead the team in developing and executing integrated marketing and promotional campaigns that drive awareness and engage prospective students across channels (i.e., email, social, direct mail, digital/print ads, events), encouraging them to inquire or request more information
  • Effectively manage top-of-funnel enrolment marketing activities for undergraduate and flexible programs
  • Oversee the development of effective marketing and sales collateral to support graduate enrolment
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure undergraduate enrolment marketing effectiveness

Relationship Management

  • Build, develop, and maintain positive relationships across the University through regular touchpoints
  • Proactively engage with enrolment, admissions, and academic departments to ensure strong communication, strategic alignment, and effective execution of enrolment marketing initiatives
  • Effectively manage existing relationships with third-party vendors and agencies for creative, advertising, media buying and other enrollment marketing-related needs as determined by area lead
  • Work with area leaders to identify opportunities for program growth and development
  • Manage sponsorships and advertising agreements related to undergraduate enrolment marketing

Team & Resource Management

  • Effectively manage direct reports while helping to monitor progress and assess overall performance
  • Set clear priorities for supporting team members through regular 1-to-1s and project meetings
  • Seek to develop, encourage, and actively foster a healthy and productive working environment for all members of the enrolment marketing team and fellow colleagues
  • Lead, coach, and develop all direct reports to optimize their personal and professional progress through 1-to-1 meetings, performance reviews, and informal coaching and development opportunities
  • Participate in workforce and resource planning as invited by the area leader
  • Adhere to stated University policies and procedures for expense tracking and billing

Marketing Services Activation

  • Oversee the development of effective creative briefs for all projects to ensure brand consistency, strategic direction, and strong communication with project team members.
  • Cast a clear vision of success, set goals, and drive accountability for cross-functional team members (i.e., creative) and strategic partners involved in campaign development and launch
  • Maintain communication with project teams to keep apprised of project status and required actions
  • Ensure high-quality and effective enrolment deliverables aligned to brand standards and guidelines
  • Ensure all projects are properly entered in project management software (Wrike) and updated daily

  • Bias for action and taking the initiative to ensure results.
  • Managerial experience with the ability to empower others to execute with excellence.
  • Ability to create annual plans, budgets, and contingency plans to meet goals.

Standards & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing or Corporate Communications.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management role, supervising direct reports.
  • Non-profit and fundraising experience, an asset.
  • Agency, Consulting, and Account Management experience is an asset
