The ideal candidate will be a relationship-builder and commercial driver who turns customer insight into actionable growth opportunities. They will manage and protect existing business, identify and develop new opportunities, and convert customer needs, innovation briefs, and cross-functional projects into sustainable commercial wins.
The Key Account Executive will work closely with internal teams across Commercial Support, Technical, Innovation & Application, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain to elevate the customer experience and deliver differentiated solutions. They will lead account strategy, pipeline development, pricing alignment, forecasting accuracy, and execution of regional growth plans.
Success in this role requires an inquisitive and entrepreneurial mindset, strong commercial discipline, and the ability to build trust at multiple levels within complex customer organizations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating both strategic and tactical priorities, partnering across functions, and taking ownership of results for key accounts that are critical to the organization’s growth.
Job RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and grow a portfolio of regional and global key accounts across the Americas
- Serve as the regional lead for assigned global key accounts
- Build deep customer relationships and uncover new growth opportunities while maintaining and protecting your base business
- Drive pipeline development, opportunity conversion, and profitable revenue growth
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver technical, operational, commercial, and service excellence
- Lead account planning, forecasting, pricing strategy, and business reviews
- Strengthening Brenntag’s position as a strategic partner by delivering value, reliability, and customer-focused solutions
- Strong team player, with high work ethic, eager to contribute

- Strong relationship, commercial and negotiation skills

- Sales and Profit Analysis
- Effective time & resource management, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Computer – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM, Outlook, AS400
- Travel Expectations 50-60%
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters Degree preferred
- 7– 10 years’ experience in previous senior-level commercial role in a matrix organization and/or Chemical Distribution Field Sales
- Prior experience managing national, multinational and global accounts
