happyhotel is building the AI Revenue Manager : a new product category that replaces dashboard-heavy SaaS and feels to hoteliers like having their own on-demand revenue expert. This is not "AI features slapped onto an existing product," but a product reimagined from scratch. For this mission, we’re looking for you as our Founding Product Manager – working directly alongside Marius (Co-founder & CTPO) and Sebastian (Co-founder & CEO, himself a hotelier).   📎 Your Role You’ll be the dedicated Product Manager for our AI Revenue Manager – a role that Marius and Sebastian have previously handled jointly on the side. With you, this won’t just be delegating execution, but a real step-change: You will co-own product strategy , scope, and roadmap alongside the founders and act as the connective tissue of the product trio of PM, designer, and engineering lead.   Your working style will shift between strategic sharpness – What makes it into V1, what is left out? – and operational closeness to discovery, design, and engineering so that by the end of 2026, we have real customers using a live product.   🤝 Your Tasks Define the V1 scope together with the founders – narrow enough to go live in 2026, but relevant enough to deliver real value to hotel GMs – and you will actively defend this scope against the constant pull of new AI possibilities and customer requests. Manage a living, prioritized roadmap that serves as a real decision-making tool – not a wish list. Lead the Beta Design Partner Program (~10 hotel GMs, recruiting is already underway), build touchpoints, and translate insights back into scope and roadmap decisions. Structure the two-stage feedback loop : internal dogfooding with our RM and CS team for quick evaluations, external beta partners as the primary voice for product direction – and keep both clearly separate. Manage interfaces with our three existing product teams (Platform & Interfaces, Current Product, ML & Data Science), make dependencies visible early, and protect the momentum of the new product. Make tough prioritization decisions – even when it means saying no to good ideas, existing customers, or founder reflexes, if discovery demands it.   💙 Your Profile Several years of PM experience in digital products, especially in B2B SaaS environments. Experience in 0-to-1 or founding contexts – you’ve brought products from concept to real customers’ hands and can navigate high ambiguity without a finished spec. Disciplined scoping – you can say no to good ideas, even if they come from customers, founders, or yourself. Genuine interest in AI products – not "AI buzzword on your resume," but understanding non-deterministic system behavior and what it means for product decisions and user trust. Solid discovery practice : conducting customer interviews, structured validation, translating insights into decisions. You prefer to work in tight loops with founders, designers, and engineers – short messages, quick calls, decisions the same day, with the option to reverse them the next. Fluent in English and German (team language is English, customer base mainly German-speaking). Willingness to work regularly onsite with the team in Offenburg and/or remotely with frequent touchpoints.   🚀 What We Offer: Founding-level ownership: You help define what a new product category actually is – not just what gets built next. A problem worth solving: Independent hoteliers will have the power of a dedicated revenue manager for the first time. Real business impact, real people on the other side. Direct line to the founders: You’ll work daily with Marius (CTPO) and Sebastian (CEO) – short paths, real decisions, shared ownership instead of spec handover. A true product trio from day one: Dedicated designer, dedicated engineering lead, focused product – no shared-resources setup, no split priorities. Real time pressure, close to and with the customer: Committed beta design partners are waiting for the product and eager to give feedback. Flexible working hours, remote work, personal development budget, Hansefit, bike leasing, workation, and standard perks – but honestly: if you’re here for the perks, this probably isn’t the right role for you.
