Job Description
The Safety Technicians role exists to promote and augment safety on jobsites to the highest level. To reach this level, the Safety Technician must work both independently and together with the
EHandS Manager to create a safe workplace environment. Using OSHA Standards and State and Local Regulations
Essential Functions
Conduct inspections of the site to verify compliance and identify unsafe conditions.
Maintain documentation necessary to comply with the Site Safety Management Plan,
OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
Work with the
EHS Manager to enforce safety policies and procedures that help prevent accidents.
Verify that subcontractors are monitoring the implementation of the Site Safety Management Plan.
Able to adapt to a flexible, fast-paced, and dynamic work environment.
Qualifications/Skills
Ability to implement written site safety management plan.
Understanding of construction environment and risks present.
Good comprehension of Health and Safety OSHA rules applicable to construction.
Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Products including Outlook; Word; Power Point.
Must be organized.
Must have strong computer and presentation skills.
Team player.
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 2 years related experience.
