Engineer

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the engineer is responsible for product support and implementation of new product releases to manufacturing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: change of current product, administration of ECN process, and bill of materials structures. Work closely with the manufacturing department to ensure manufacturability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Become an integrated member of product teams to mitigate and implement all engineering, manufacturing, and product changes and enhancements.
• Support the production team with the timely execution of solutions to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Analyzes and evaluates manufacturing methods and standards. Provides solutions to problems that adversely affect operator safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Develops and updates process documentation and procedure instructions.
• Assists in the development and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
• Work in a safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations.
• Perform special projects as assigned.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong CAD knowledge in SolidWorks, Alias, AutoCAD, ProE, or other 3D mechanical design.
• Strong knowledge of engineering change management: EO, ECN, ECR, etc.
• Team player and able to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written skills required.
• Proficiency with PC's.
• Strong project management skills, self-motivated.
• Prior electrical experience preferred on DC electrical systems.
