About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Account Manager to join our growing team in Chicago. This is a strategic “farming” role focused on managing and expanding relationships with existing enterprise clients within the financial services sector. You will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, ensuring client satisfaction, and aligning internal resources to deliver high-impact solutions to our clients.
This is not a hunting role—your focus will be on account retention, revenue expansion, and client partnership. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with software or fintech products and a strong track record of managing large, complex accounts in the U.S. banking domain.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring a strong, long-term strategic relationship.
- Build executive-level connections and foster trust with stakeholders across client organizations.
- Act as a trusted advisor, delivering insights and strategies that align with client goals.
Account Strategy & Growth
- Own and manage a portfolio of Tier 1 and Tier 2 financial institutions.
- Develop and execute account plans to retain clients, increase wallet share, and drive customer success.
- Identify and convert opportunities for upselling and cross-selling fintech solutions.
Sales & Revenue Performance
- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets through account expansion and renewals.
- Collaborate with the pre-sales, delivery, and product teams to align offerings with client needs.
- Monitor contract renewals, proactively manage risk, and ensure continuous client engagement.
Client Success & Advocacy
- Understand client pain points, business goals, and evolving requirements to tailor solutions accordingly.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through regular touchpoints, business reviews, and proactive support.
- Represent client feedback internally, working cross-functionally to enhance product/service delivery.
Domain Expertise
- Develop deep expertise in our fintech platform offerings, including digital banking, AI, and SaaS-based financial solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitor landscape to advise clients strategically.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of experience in an account management, client success, or relationship management role within the software, SaaS, or fintech domain.
- Strong track record of growing strategic enterprise accounts, ideally within banking or financial services.
- Experience managing senior stakeholders, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive revenue through upselling, renewals, and solution-based selling.
- Self-starter with high ownership and a consultative mindset.
- Familiarity with U.S. financial institutions and regulatory environment is a strong plus.
