The PAM Onboarding Lead will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of the Privileged Access
Management (PAM) Programme by leading the onboarding of users, teams, and business Teams onto
CyberArk as new capabilities and features are enabled. This role works closely with the Security Project
Manager, SMEs, and technical teams to ensure smooth adoption of the new Access Model and
Privileged Access controls across the organisation.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical and planning skills, excellent communication
abilities, and hands‑on experience supporting onboarding activities within cybersecurity or
identity‑focused programmes. A solid understanding of PAM concepts, CyberArk workflows, and PAM
access model principles is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding Delivery & Coordination
- Lead and coordinate the onboarding of accounts, users, teams, applications and business units onto CyberArk as new features, and vaulting capabilities are rolled out.
- Serve as the primary contact for onboarding queries, readiness assessments, and issue resolution.
- Plan and execute structured onboarding waves aligned to programme timelines.
- Track onboarding progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers, escalating as needed.
- PAM Access Model & PAM Process Adoption
- Support adoption of the new Access Model by explaining roles, entitlements, and access governance rules.
- Ensure onboarding activities align with PAM policies, least‑privilege principles, and security controls.
- Assist teams in transitioning from legacy access workflows to the new operating model.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Engage and guide technical stakeholders, business teams, SMEs, and third‑party partners.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, discovery sessions, and requirement walkthroughs.
- Produce clear communication materials, onboarding guides, and readiness updates.
- Provide structured and concise updates to the Project Manager and senior stakeholders.
- Process Mapping & Optimisation
- Work with BA to Document current‑state onboarding, access, and privileged account processes.
- Identify inefficiencies or gaps and support the design of future‑state processes.
- Recommend and implement improvements to streamline onboarding workflows.
- Reporting, Metrics & Risk Reduction Tracking
- Develop dashboards and visual reports to track:
- onboarding progress
- adoption rates
- account onboarding status
- reduction of unmanaged or high‑risk privileged accounts
- achievement of programme milestones
- Report on onboarding KPIs, risk reduction metrics, and compliance indicators.
- Provide regular summary packs for senior management, the Project Manager, and governance forums.
- Analyse onboarding data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities to accelerate risk reduction.
- Maintain accurate records to support audit readiness and evidence requirements.
- Project Support & Governance
- Contribute to RAID logs, business impact assessments, and readiness reviews.
- Ensure that onboarding activities remain aligned to programme timelines and objectives.
- Support testing cycles, user validation, and acceptance processes.
