Today, we employ around 400 employees – and as cybercrime grows, we need to grow. To support that goal, we are now looking for a Senior Strategic Cyber Advisor who can make a difference in our Strategic Cyber Advisory team.

At Truesec, our Strategic Cyber Advisory team delivers tangible results that strengthen our clients’ cyber resilience. Our advisors are hands-on experts who bridge the gap between strategy and execution, embedding cybersecurity from the C-suite to operational teams. We communicate effectively across all levels, translating complex cyber risks into actionable plans that resonate throughout the organization.
We rely on both your experience and industry-leading cybersecurity frameworks—including NIS2, DORA, ISO 27001, and more to design and implement tailored roadmaps and robust controls. By working with us, you’ll help deliver measurable improvements for our clients, turning recommendations into real-world impact and supporting organizations in meeting their unique threat landscapes and compliance obligations.
The Role
As a Senior Strategic Security Advisor at Truesec, your purpose is to help our clients strengthen their cyber defense capabilities by developing and delivering tailored cybersecurity strategies and guidance. This role is vital to Truesec’s mission to create a safer digital world by enabling clients to navigate cyber threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements, ensuring their business continuity and reducing cyber risk.
We believe you have broad knowledge and experience of cyber security and is a subject matter expert in several relevant cyber security domains. Further you have good knowledge about the enterprise context and experience from working with C-Suite stakeholders. You also have the ability to translate client needs to sales opportunities to deliver upon.
What You Will Do
- Drive commercial growth by identifying opportunities at new and existing clients, leveraging your network, and collaborating with Truesec colleagues to shape offerings, proposals, and winning deliveries incl. cross-sales between departments
- Advise and guide clients on cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and compliance in line with relevant frameworks (e.g., CIS v8, NIST CSF, ISO27001, NIS2, DORA)
- Conduct or support cybersecurity assessments and identify gaps in clients’ security posture
- Develop, communicate, and present cybersecurity findings, recommendations, and roadmaps to both technical and business stakeholders
- Contribute to identifying and developing future cybersecurity initiatives and services for Truesec and our clients
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure effective implementation of security strategies and solutions
- Depending on your experience, contribute to mentoring, project leadership, or technical innovation and improvement within the team
- You have 3–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting/advisory, ideally with your own commercial target and responsibility for developing client relationships
- You have relevant experience working in the industry, potentially including big four, professional services firms or in a C-Suite position. You have a good orientation in the cyber threat, business, and cyber capability dimensions.
- Required Skills:
- You have knowledge and experience of security principles, cyber security frameworks and standards (such as CIS v8, NIST CSF, ISO27001, NIS2, DORA) and risk management practice.
- Experience in conducting or supporting cybersecurity assessments and communicating findings
- You have the ability and experience to present to and engage with both technical and business stakeholders, including management and C-suite.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISM, CISSP, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer, or similar) are a strong plus—but not a requirement.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to speak and write fluent Danish and English
- You have experience from strategy & transformation work, including strategy & policy, program and project management and capability design & architecture
- Knowledge of infrastructure components such as AD, EntraID, Microsoft E5 tools, IGA, PAM, and SOC
- Experience in incident response
