📌 What You’ll Do
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the National Account Manager, the Associate Key Account Manager (AKAM) supports the execution of the Sobeys portfolio strategy across all banners (Sobeys, Safeway, FreshCo, Foodland, Thrifty Foods, Lawtons Drugs). This role is designed as a development position, providing hands-on exposure to key account management within a leading Canadian retailer.
Working alongside the National Account Manager, the AKAM contributes to the delivery of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) by supporting account execution, analyzing performance, and helping identify growth opportunities. The role partners cross-functionally with sales, finance, supply chain, and marketing to build a strong foundation in managing a national retail customer.
Here’s what you can expect in your role:
SPECIFIC KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Support the execution of the Sobeys account strategy across all banners, contributing to sales growth and in-market execution.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, shopper insights, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
- Assist in monitoring trade spend and promotional effectiveness through ROI analysis, helping ensure investments align with performance and profitability targets.
- Support the development and maintenance of account plans, forecasts, and KPIs aligned to AOP objectives.
- Help track performance against the operating plan, identifying gaps and supporting corrective actions.
- Prepare materials and analysis for customer meetings, line reviews, and joint business planning sessions with Sobeys.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support execution of promotions, innovation launches, and supply chain coordination.
- Build foundational relationships with Sobeys stakeholders while learning effective account management practices.
- Manage invoice validation, deduction tracking, and trade spend reconciliation to ensure accuracy and timely resolution.
- Support administrative and contractual processes, including documentation and compliance with agreed customer terms.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements
- College or University Diploma/Degree
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sales Experience of 3+ years in sales, account management or business development
- Remote role with occasional travel
- Category Management experience an asset
- Proven ability to work independently, and on own initiatives
- Collaborative, multi-tasking, ability to build a relationship with a variety of people
- Organized and able to make an independent decision
- Driver’s License and able to travel to make customer visits and meetings
- Able to handle stock, loading and unloading vehicle (approximately 30 lbs. at a time)

Jamieson Wellness Inc. offers a competitive total rewards package that goes beyond base pay, including eligibility for our Short-Term Incentive Program and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and professional growth.
For this role, the posting range is “$62,900– $94,300”, which reflects the full salary range of the position. The actual salary offered will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, level of education, and other professional qualifications aligned with the requirements and complexity of this position.
